I'm a little late getting to this but as the saying goes, better late than never right? We have some great events coming to town this month and I'm really excited to announce that we are once again hosting another Fall series at Duncan Hall! We are actively looking for sponsors so if you or anyone you know but might be interested in supporting an all ages concert series in a 250 cap, beautiful historic room in downtown Lafayette, please email mompopproductions@gmail.com!
This Saturday August 9th we are once again presenting Austin, TX Ska Punkers Hans Gruber and the Die Hards at North End Pub. These guys are high energy and super fun and will definitely not disappoint! Opening up the night, surf punk thrashers The Enstrangers and Indy's Rocksteady titans the Circle City Deacons!! Hans Gruber and the Die Hards brand of punk/ska mashes genres together like a toddler eating chocolate cake – with messy intensity for maximum enjoyment. From Boston hardcore to Colombian cumbia, southern gospel to crossover thrash, their live shows are filled with pits, sock puppets, conga lines and confusion – if you are nihilistic enough to jump in feet first.
Back to Tuesday at People's Brewing! We have some killer bands lined up for this month with Chicago's The Claudettees, the debut of Lafayette's Funk / Jazz fusion Junk Trio, and Nashville's Milly Raccoon and the New Normal!
