Owing as much to Nick Cave and Captain Beefheart as the music that made his hometown famous Red combines the rhythm section of Muscle Shoals and its sincere and sentimental songwriters with his love of punk rock, post punk, avant garde, and general experimental forms of rock'n'roll. His performances are enrapturing and shaman like. His stage presence is engaging and often leaves the stage and even takes the whole band and audience outside for sing-a-longs.
