Live Music Coming to Lafayette, Indiana This Fall

Happy October my friends! This is seriously my favorite time of the year. Cooler weather, beautiful colors, ghouls, and ghosts!!!

I'm finally starting to recover from Big Pine Breakdown and getting my head wrapped around the rest of the year! Somehow between three music festivals and a summer tour with my band I managed to book some really amazing artists for us all to enjoy this Fall! Here's a quick rundown and a look ahead!

Next Tuesday at People's Brewing Company we welcome back Chicago's Afro-Caribbean Jazz Collective. Led by guitarist Jose Guzman, The Collective compositions reflect Guzman’s musical heritage with rhythms from Puerto Rico mixed with the sophistication of modern jazz. They brought the house down last Fall with multiple percussionists and a group of some of the brightest up and coming artists in the genre. Please don't sleep on this, it is an absolute treat they are paying us a visit!

I'm excited to announce that we will also be hosting an all ages Halloween extravaganza at Duncan Hall on Friday October 31st with The Operators, Moon Goons, and the Fergus Daly band. Please dress up! There will be food, booze (for those 21 and older of course) a costume contest, and DJ sets by Circle T. The event will go all night!!

SPONSORSHIP AND SUPPORT

I am seeking sponsorships and financial contributions for events at Duncan Hall for the Fall and Winter. I'm trying to do one show a month there through the Spring with national headlining acts. Right now I have Charlie Parr booked and another banger to announce for December soon! Duncan Hall is helping me bring some really stellar acts to their stage by allowing me to use their facilities but we need your help! The average price for me to put on a show there is between $2500 - $3000. The financial obligations fall solely on my shoulders, often times meaning there is nothing left over to pay for my time or put anything back into these events.

These are big endeavors that take a hired team and a lot of cash as I cannot do something on this level by myself financially, or physically, but it's my dream to see consistent programming at this beautiful space and to carry on the tradition of Friends of Bob by keeping these shows affordable, early, and all ages!

If you are interested in supporting this big dream of mine please email me at mompopvenues[@]gmail
